Your clients always in the loop: the new Mandantenportal for your firm

Invite clients into a case by email, release documents and deadlines one by one, collect paperwork without chasing anyone on the phone — the new Mandantenportal is here. The AI assistant for clients runs on your firm's quota, deliberately without its own credits account and without any upselling in the client view.

Symbolic image for the new Mandantenportal: an open case folder connected to a laptop screen on which a client is viewing the status of her case.

In one sentence

With the new Mandantenportal you invite your clients straight into a case by email — and every client sees exactly what you release: no more, no less.

An end to “What’s the status?” calls

Many law-firm phone calls revolve around a single question: what’s the status? The Mandantenportal answers it before it is even asked. You invite a client into a case by email; they log in and see their case in a dedicated, uncluttered client view — with the documents and deadlines you have released.

Releasing stays the lawyer’s job

Nothing becomes visible automatically. You release each document and each deadline individually — the release chain is deliberately built “fail-closed”: anything not expressly released stays invisible to the client. Team assignments govern who in the firm looks after which client, and an activity timeline shows, transparently, what happened in the portal and when.

The firm pays for the AI — by design

In the portal, clients can use the AI assistant, for instance to have a released document explained to them. This runs on your firm’s quota: the client needs no credits account of their own, and in the client view there are deliberately no purchase offers of any kind. Your client stays your client. As everywhere on the platform: the AI provides explanations and assessments — the legal judgement stays with you.

Collecting documents without the chaos

Missing paperwork is the second big time-drain. For that the portal brings two tools. The guest upload lets even people without an account submit documents — with a review gate: nothing lands in the case unchecked, you accept each document first. And acceptance workflows with a revision loop bring structure to follow-ups: if a submitted document doesn’t fit, it goes back with your note, and smart reminders prompt the client automatically — without your team having to chase them on the phone.

Nothing slips through

All client events — new uploads, completed tasks, portal activity — come together on a single signal channel in your inbox. Portal KPIs show how actively your clients really use the portal. And the lead-to-mandate bridge turns an incoming enquiry into a portal mandate with access in just a few clicks.

Seats, EU hosting and getting started

Client access is managed via a seats model; how many seats your plan includes and how to add more you can see directly in your plan overview. Like the entire platform, the portal is hosted in the EU. You activate it in your firm settings — switch the portal on, invite your first client, done.
