Branches

One question, several paths.

Good pleadings come from weighing options: aggressive or open to settlement, detailed or concise. With branches you test alternatives side by side instead of rewriting one conversation again and again.

Branch off

Start anew from any answer

One click on an answer opens a branch: a new conversation with the history up to that point, the same attachments and the same case context. From there you try a different direction without touching the original.

  • History, attachments and context are carried over
  • Original and branch link to each other

  • Original: “Statement of defense, detailed”
  • Branch A: “limitation only, concise”
  • Branch B: “with settlement offer”
Variants

A separate document version per branch

If you work on a Word document in the branch, create a variant on click. The versions sit side by side in the case; the original stays unchanged.

  • Variants live in the case, not scattered in downloads
  • Comparison of two versions with marked changes

  • Version 1 · original
  • Version 2 · branch A · concise
  • Version 3 · branch B · with settlement offer
Decide

Set the main version

Once you have decided, mark one variant as the main version. The case then shows this version first, and the case timeline records when you chose it.

  • One click, visible in the case timeline
  • Other variants are kept

  • Versions 1 and 2 remain available
  • Project page shows the choice per case
Continue

Continue long answers instead of shortening them

If one pass is not enough for an answer, the assistant says so and offers “Continue”. The continuation follows seamlessly; display, export and history treat both parts as one answer.

  • No silent truncation
  • Regenerate replaces the whole answer including the continuation

  • … section 4: notice of defects
  • Note: the answer is not yet complete.

Frequently asked questions about branches
Does a branch change the original conversation?

No. A branch is a new conversation. The original stays as it was and links to its branches.

Is my Word document copied into the branch?

Not automatically. A separate document version for the branch is created only when you click “Create variant”.

How do I decide between variants?

Compare two versions with marked changes and then set one as the main version. The choice is recorded in the case timeline and can be changed.

What happens if an answer gets too long?

The assistant does not shorten silently but offers “Continue”. Both parts then count as one answer.

Control & safety

  • The original conversation stays unchanged; a branch is always a new conversation.
  • A Word working document is never copied silently; a variant is created only on your click.
  • You set the main version yourself; the choice appears in the case timeline and can be changed.
