ZUGFeRD is the German name for Factur-X: a PDF/A-3 with embedded XML. According to the BMF, ZUGFeRD from version 2.0.1 counts among the permitted e-invoice formats, except the profiles MINIMUM and BASIC-WL. Where image and XML differ, the data in the XML are decisive.
