Matter · Documents · Table

Ten contracts, one question – one table with evidence for every value.

You define what you want to know – base rent, notice period, venue. The AI reads every document in the matter and enters the value along with the passage where it was found. Calculations are performed by the software, not by the AI.

How to get started

Define columns, select documents, analyze

Choose a template – leases, employment contracts, contracts in general, invoices – or start with an empty table. Then select the documents in the matter; each one becomes a row, and a contract with appendices can also be treated as a single combined row. Before you start, you see the cost as a share of your AI quota.

  • Numbers, amounts, dates, and yes/no are true values – sortable, filterable, and summable.
  • Analysis runs in work units and can be paused and resumed later.

  • Columns: Landlord, Tenant, Lease start (date)
  • Base rent, Additional charges, Deposit (amount)
  • Notice period (text), Index-linked rent (yes/no)
  • Ten documents selected – Analyze
Evidence for every value

You see at once where a value comes from – and where something is missing

A click on a cell shows the reasoning and the verbatim passage and jumps to the document. The software checks every passage against the full text: anything that does not appear verbatim is marked “please review.” If something does not appear in the document at all, the cell remains empty – that is information, not an error.

  • Verbatim confirmed, “please review,” or “not found” – never indicated by color alone, always with an icon and text.
  • Your own corrections are marked; the AI version is retained so you can revert to it.

Evidence not found verbatim – please review— not in the document

Calculated, not guessed

Totals, gaps, and deviations come from the software

Below each column you will find the range, total, average, and median – for amounts, separated by currency and never added together. The Findings section shows rows with gaps and values that deviate from the usual (“usually three months – deviation: Contract D”). With search and filters, you can narrow results, for example “base rent less than 5,000.”

  • The AI reads and quotes; it does not add or count.
  • Each entry in the anomalies jumps to the affected cell.

  • Notice period: usually three months – deviation: Contract C
  • Contract D: no information on the notice period
  • Base rent: range €3,900 – €7,250, total per currency
Questions about the table

“For how many contracts is the rent below €5,000?”

Ask the entire table. The AI receives the values and the key figures calculated by the software and responds with references to the cells; a click leads to the evidence in the document. The answer remains saved and tells you if the table has changed since then.

  • Only when you click, with a cost line – nothing runs in the background.
  • The answer is a reading aid: you verify important details via the evidence.
Question to the table
  • Question: How many contracts have a base rent below €5,000?
  • Answer: Three of six – Contracts 101, 103, and 104
  • Each name links to its cell and the evidence
Export

Excel with evidence, Word with key figures, CSV

The Excel export has three sheets: the table, the evidence with verbatim passage and review status, and the key figures. Numbers, amounts, and dates are true cell values – you can continue calculating directly in Excel. Word delivers the table in landscape format with key figures.

  • The rows currently shown by search and filters are exported.
  • The file is created in your browser; nothing is sent to third parties for this purpose.

Agents in this workflow

Reads every selected document and enters the value for each column with the verbatim passage – only when you click, with a cost line; evidence is checked against the full text.

AI agent

Answers a question about the entire table and refers to the cells; totals and counts come from the software, the AI only phrases the answer.

Control & safety

  • Every cell shows its verbatim passage; a value without confirmed evidence remains visible but is marked “please review.”
  • Numbers, totals, gaps, and deviations are calculated by the software – the AI never calculates.
  • Documents blocked for the AI are never analyzed and never included in a question.
  • Values changed manually are retained; the AI version can be restored at any time.
