In one sentence
The assistant edits your Word file directly in the case file: paragraph by paragraph, as tracked changes if you wish, and every changed file goes through a strict check before it is saved.
An example
You set the statement of defense as the working document and write: “Shorten section III by removing the repetitions, highlight all blanks in yellow and give me a redline and a clean version.” Shortly afterwards, two new files are in the case file, “… – Redline.docx” and “… – Clean.docx”. The original remains unchanged. With “Edit clean version” you continue working in the clean version.
Tracked changes
With “Changes as suggestions”, the assistant writes its changes into the file as tracked changes by the author “Assistent (KI)” (the AI assistant). In Word you see them like a colleague's changes and accept or reject them individually; “Accept all” and “Reject all” are also available in the portal. If you first want to see what will happen, choose “Review changes first”: a preview then shows the changes before anything is saved.
More than text
The assistant can highlight text in color, add comments, apply the file's styles, reorder exhibits and insert images from the chat. For cases that no fixed operation covers, it writes Word code itself. We never adopt this code unchecked: it is checked against a list of permitted building blocks and rebuilt, and every finished file goes through a package check before it is saved. If the file fails the check, no new version is created. For long files of about 100,000 characters or more, the assistant first sees the outline and reads the necessary sections selectively.
What it does not do
- If the AI leaves out text and writes “…” or “unchanged”, the change is rejected instead of being silently filled in.
- It declines a complete rewrite if the file contains tables, fields, footnotes or a table of contents.
- It does not change page margins and fonts on its own initiative.
- Every instruction counts toward the AI quota like a chat message; comparing two versions works without a model.
- AI can make mistakes: check every version before you use it.
