In one sentence
On the new “Review a contract” page, you upload a contract and receive four answers in plain language: which clauses stand out, what is missing, what you can renegotiate and which deadlines apply.
An example
You want to sign a 24-month gym contract. After uploading it, you see:
- Clauses with a risk traffic light: The automatic renewal is marked yellow or red, with an explanation in simple words and a reference to the passage in the contract.
- What is missing: for example, a rule on whether the contract can be suspended during a longer illness.
- Negotiation tips: specific points with suggested wording for your conversation with the gym.
- Deadlines, termination, term: minimum term, renewal and notice period at a glance.
Afterwards, you can ask follow-up questions, prepare a letter or hand the case over to a verified lawyer.
For which contracts
The page is aimed at employees (employment contract, termination agreement, non-compete clause), tenants (residential lease before signing), self-employed people and small businesses (services, freelancers, commercial lease, confidentiality) and consumers with mobile phone, gym and other fixed-term contracts. For employment, mobile phone and gym contracts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland we have added dedicated review aids, and for leases before signing and subscription contracts also in other countries. The review works best for contracts under German, Austrian and Swiss law.
Honest about long contracts
For very long contracts, the free preview reads only the beginning. The result then states how many characters were reviewed and that statements about missing clauses are therefore of limited reliability. The full review reads the entire contract.
Costs
Registration is free of charge and includes 10 free credits, no credit card required. The full review costs credits; you see the price before you start.
What it does not do
- The review is an AI-assisted initial assessment and not legal advice.
- The AI can be wrong or overlook connections. Double-check important points.
- For large sums, long commitments or disputes, you should also seek advice from a lawyer.
To the page: Review a contract. In the manual: Reading the review result.
