Example case: what a finished analysis looks like
A fictional case (termination of a residential lease due to personal use) for you to view: analysis, deadline, chat, reply letter – no upload required, free of charge, nothing is saved.
What it is about
Before you upload your own letter, you can see what the result looks like. The example case is a fictional case: A landlord terminates a residential lease due to personal use (Eigenbedarf). All names, addresses, and letters are fictional – there is no real person behind them.
At the top, you will always see "Example – pre-created". The content appears in your language; the legal system of the example remains German (tenancy law, §§ 573, 574, 574b BGB) and is labeled as such.
How to open it
- In the empty Documents area: "Try with an example document".
- On the dashboard, as long as your account is still empty: the card "View first, then upload".
- At the end of the setup (First Steps: Account & Onboarding): "View example case".
The example case costs nothing, uses no credits, requires no upload, and is not saved. Therefore, it does not count as your first document, does not count toward tasks (quests), and does not appear in your overviews. You can close it at any time and reopen it later.
What you see there
- Analysis: summary, identified facts, the excerpt from the letter with yellow-highlighted references, risks with legal basis, and the next steps. "Show in document" jumps to the reference.
- Deadline & Reminder: a deadline calculator with an example calculation. The objection to a termination for personal use must be received by the landlord no later than two months before the end of the tenancy (§ 574b para. 2 BGB). You can change the end date in the calculator and see the result. Additionally, a preview of the reminders – in the example, nothing is created or sent.
- Questions about the document: three pre-created questions and answers. Where the answer is based on the letter, you will see the reference; where it is not, it is explicitly stated that it is general legal information. More on this: Chatting with a document.
- Reply letter: a finished draft (objection). In the real letter module, you can customize it – Responding to a document.
- Involve a lawyer: how the lawyer handover works. In the example, no request is sent. Real requests: Sending an inquiry to a law firm, decision support: When to Choose a Lawyer Over AI?.
Important regarding deadlines
In the example, the dates are calculated relative to today so that they never look outdated. This is an example calculation: In your real case, the deadline calculator calculates using the documented date of receipt and the date mentioned in the letter – deadlines are never estimated (Keeping track of deadlines). The example case is not legal advice.
Next: Your own document
At the bottom of the example case, "Check your own document" leads directly to the upload (How do I upload a document?).
