In One Sentence
Under Documents → Table, you define columns and select documents from the matter file, and for each document the AI enters the value together with the verbatim passage where it was found. The calculations are performed by the program, not by the AI.
From a Chat Question to a Table That Stays
Until now, you could ask in the chat which fields appear in all documents and receive a table within the conversation (Field extraction across the entire matter file). The document table turns this into a permanent working tool of the matter file: you choose a template (residential leases, employment contracts, contracts in general, invoices) or start with a blank table, define columns, and add documents. Each document becomes one row; a contract together with its exhibits can also share a single row.
Every Value Shows Where It Comes From
Clicking a cell shows the answer, the reasoning, and the verbatim passage, and takes you to that spot in the document. The program checks every cited passage against the full text: anything that does not appear verbatim remains visible but is flagged "please review." If something does not appear in the document at all, the cell stays empty. This is how the gaps you are looking for come to light. Your own corrections are marked, and the AI version can be restored.
Calculated, Not Guessed
Numbers, amounts, dates, and yes/no entries are true values. Beneath each column you will find the range, sum, average, and median, with amounts shown separately by currency. The Anomalies section shows rows with gaps and values that deviate from the usual. Search and filters narrow the results, for example "base rent less than 5,000." The AI reads and cites; it does not add or count.
Questions About the Table and Export
In the "Questions about the table" section, you can ask, for example, in how many contracts the rent falls below a certain threshold. The answer refers to the relevant cells, and a click takes you to the source. The Excel export has three sheets (table, sources with cited passage and review status, and key figures), and Word delivers the table in landscape format.
What You Control
Analyzing and asking questions run only when you click, with a cost line displayed; the analysis can be paused and resumed later. Documents blocked from AI use are never analyzed. In the sample matter "Claim and Cease-and-Desist Letter," you will find a fully analyzed table to look at.
