Price is variable (typically 5–12 credits) and depends on document length. The exact cost is shown before charging (preflight). If generation fails, credits are refunded automatically.

If the document is central (notice, contract, termination): My Documents → upload → analysis → Action-Brief. If you first want to understand the legal situation: Legal questions — at the end you'll see a hint to upload the document for the action plan.

Does source search / web search cost extra?

Yes — optionally. Standard analysis and chat do not use live web search. When you mark a passage and choose “Add sources”, a targeted primary-source search (Perplexity) runs. The price is shown before you start (credits, admin-configurable as source_verify_expand). Repeat searches for the same text within 24 h may come from cache — then no extra credits.

What if the AI got something wrong?

Tell us! Every AI result has 👍/👎. Tapping 👎 opens a short form: pick what was wrong (incorrect, outdated, doesn't fit the case) and optionally add a note. A human on our quality team reviews every report — that's how we fix prompts and playbooks before others run into the same issue. We occasionally reward especially helpful reports with credits. Note: AI output remains an assessment and does not replace review by a lawyer.

What is the deadline second check?

An optional safeguard: in your case's deadline list you can have a detected deadline double-checked. The source document is re-read, the deadline independently re-derived and marked “confirmed” or “corrected” — including period start, end date, jurisdiction, next step and a short explanation. It costs credits (price shown up front). The second check is also AI and does not replace a lawyer's deadline control.

What does the per-case strategy recommendation do?

It brings together everything in your case — facts, document analyses, deadlines, legal questions — and derives prioritised next steps, chances, risks and open decisions. Deliberately not a recap of the document analysis you've already read. From there you continue straight into chat, a call, a letter or a lawyer handover. It costs credits (price shown up front); not legal advice.

Writing assistant, letter catalog, or reply from document — when to use which?

Writing assistant: describe your matter freely — AI asks follow-ups and routes you to standard reply letters (approx. 1–3 pages). Contracts or long documents: letter catalog or /vertraege. Reply from document: upload the original and start the wizard.

Document chat: Q&A about an uploaded document — ideal for understanding, follow-ups and summaries. Writing assistant: structured creation of a new standard reply letter (wizard, PDF export) — not for contracts or long documents.

Standard analysis and chat do **not** use live web search. Select at least 30 characters → “Add sources” → confirm (credits, price shown first). Perplexity searches primary sources for your selection; the analysis is **not** recalculated. Results: research summary, sources with snippet check (“found on page” / “not confirmed”), claims without sources listed separately. Saved per document — your research archive.
