Most providers describe what their AI can do. We also describe what it cannot — because false confidence in legal matters costs more than no answer at all. An AI answer here is information, not legal advice under Germany's RDG; it only becomes binding through a lawyer with an engagement and professional indemnity insurance.
The second limit is not technical but human: an AI is only ever as good as the question. If you do not suspect that the contractual penalty is the real problem, you will not ask about it. That is why we ask follow-up questions and flag typical risks — but we cannot know what you do not tell us.

The limits in detail
Languages
Seven languages: German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch, Polish — answers come in your language. We do not replace certified or binding translations.
Countries
Deep, editorially maintained playbooks for DE, AT and CH. Other — mainly EU — jurisdictions are answered deliberately country-neutral and clearly marked as such; when in doubt we refer you to local partners.
Documents & attachments
PDF, image, DOCX up to 25 MB. Low-quality scans, handwriting or cut-off pages reduce reliability — we flag that.
Recent case law
The AI knows case law up to its training cutoff. Very recent court decisions or regional practice are not something to rely on alone.
Liability
AI output is information, not legal advice under German RDG. Binding advice requires a lawyer with a mandate and professional indemnity insurance.
What we do with your documents
Encrypted storage in the EU. No training use. You can delete anytime. Details: privacy policy and AI transparency page.
Evidence & file inspection
The AI only sees what you upload. File inspection (e.g. traffic fines) and witness interviews are lawyer work.
If you ask the wrong question
AI is only as good as the question. We ask follow-ups and flag typical risks — but we cannot know what you do not tell us.
The short rule of thumb
- AI is good for:
- Form, deadlines, first assessment, draft letters, overview.
- Lawyer needed for:
- Contracts with penalties before signing, cease-and-desist letters, court proceedings, negotiating with the other side, representation before authorities — and whenever risk clearly exceeds legal fees.
