Translating a Document
Translate a stored document into another language – preserving the layout for PDF and Word files, linked to the original.
Updated 4 October 2026
Try it now You can have a document from My documents translated into another language – for example, a contract or a letter. The translation is carried out using Microsoft Azure AI Translator and is processed in an EU-compliant manner.
How to Translate
- Open My documents and locate the document.
- Right-click on the document → "Translate".
- Select the target language. The source language is detected automatically.
- Confirm. The translation will be created and stored directly next to the original under My documents.
What is Preserved
- PDF and Word files are translated while preserving the layout – the structure, tables, and formatting remain as close to the original as possible.
- Other file types are returned as a PDF containing the translated text.
- The translation is linked to the original document and is marked under My documents with the label "Machine translated".
Important to Understand
- This is a machine translation. It is not a certified translation and does not bear a lawyer's seal. Please review the result before any important use.
- A translation costs tokens. The exact price will be displayed to you in the dialog before initiating the process – this live display is always authoritative (Credits: The credit system).
- If the exact same document has already been translated into the same language, the existing translation will be reused (no new deduction).
