More brainpower for tough cases: Fable 5 as a premium AI add-on — with EU pinning and plain-language consent

For your most demanding matters, the Anwaltsportal now offers greater depth of reasoning: Fable 5, the most powerful model in the Anwaltsportal, comes as a monthly add-on — with its own token allowance, automatic EU pinning and an opt-in that spells out, in plain language, exactly what you are agreeing to.

In one sentence

Firms using the Anwaltsportal can now unlock Fable 5 — the most powerful model in the Anwaltsportal — as a monthly add-on: with its own token allowance, automatic EU pinning and an opt-in that explains, in plain language, exactly what you are agreeing to.

Where a top-tier model makes the difference — and where it doesn't

First, an honest assessment: for the bulk of your day-to-day casework, the standard tiers are entirely sufficient. Summaries, standard letters, preliminary research, checking deadlines — none of this needs a top-tier model, and we won't push one on you.

The picture is different for the matters you already spend the longest on: complex facts with many parties and cross-references, lengthy files where the decisive point sits right at the back, strategic trade-offs with several defensible routes. That is precisely where extra depth of reasoning pays off. And even then, the same rule applies: every output remains an assessment that you review professionally — no model replaces a lawyer's judgement, and the software does not provide legal advice in an individual case.

Its own allowance, a clear reckoning

The add-on comes with its own monthly token budget, kept entirely separate from your firm's normal AI allowance. The reason is simple: one empty pot should never block the other. If your regular allowance is used up, Fable requests keep running — and, conversely, an exhausted Fable budget won't stall your normal AI work. As everywhere in the Anwaltsportal, we count in quota rather than euro amounts; you can see the current status of both allowances at any time.

EU pinning automatically, consent in plain language

Fable 5 requests are automatically routed through the provider's EU endpoint — you don't have to worry about it, and there is no switch to set the wrong way. One point remains, and we name it for what it is: for this model the provider applies a model-specific data retention that differs from the other model tiers. That is why Fable 5 can only be used after an explicit opt-in — the firm decides, not the individual user. The consent text in your firm settings explains, in plain terms, what this means, rather than hiding behind a checkbox.

A built-in safety net

On rare occasions, top-tier models decline a request. So that your work doesn't hit a dead end when this happens, the standard tier automatically steps in and takes over the request — you don't have to rephrase anything and you lose no momentum.

Activation and transparency

The add-on is unlocked via your firm settings; Fable 5 then appears in the model picker for selection — in the AI chat as well as with Lex & Lexi. Which models we use and which providers sit behind them, we document publicly as ever: on the AI transparency page and in the sub-processor list.
