Highlighting and Commenting on Text Passages
Highlight a passage in a document and leave a comment – practical for your own overview or collaboration within the team.
What it is about
Are you reading a contract or a letter under My documents and want to remember a specific passage? Highlight the text with your mouse – a small "Comment" button will appear right next to it. Your comment will be saved anchored to exactly this text passage, along with the highlighted quote and the page number.
How to proceed
- Open a document in the viewer (My documents).
- Highlight the desired text section with your mouse.
- Click on the floating "Comment" button and write your note.
- In the side comment area, you will see all annotations for the document collected – clicking on an annotation jumps to the corresponding passage. You can mark completed annotations with a checkmark; if necessary, you can reopen them.
What this is suitable for
- Your own overview: Note down which clause is unclear to you or which question you would like to ask during a conversation with a law firm.
- Collaboration in the team: If several people are working on a document, everyone sees the same annotations – it is clear who left which note.
And the AI assistant?
Your annotations initially remain with you or your team – the AI assistant does not yet automatically read them in the consumer area. If you would like to bring an annotation into a conversation with the AI, simply copy the text into your message, e.g., "Please check the following passage, I have left a comment on it: ...".
