Viewing documents (viewer)

You do not need to download your files to read them: Smart Legal Pro opens PDF, photos, Word files (DOCX), text, and Markdown directly in the app.

Where can I find this?

Open My documents and tap on a document. The detail view opens with a preview on the left and the analysis on the right. This allows you to read the original and the assessment side by side.

What you can do in the viewer

• Browse: For multi-page PDFs, use the arrows to move forward and backward or jump directly to a page number via the page field; the total number is displayed next to it.
• Zoom: zoom in, zoom out, and reset to full width with "Fit to width".
• Rotate: straighten crookedly scanned pages in 90-degree increments with "Rotate".
• Highlight passages: Click on a reference in the analysis, and the viewer will jump to the corresponding text passage and highlight it. Highlights can be removed again.
• Download: save the original at any time via Download.

Versions & comments

Via the "Versions & comments" button, you open the advanced viewer. There, you can:

• switch between versions of a document, upload a new version, and "Set as current" a specific version,
• read and add comments to text passages (useful if you are working on a document with someone else or in a team).

If the preview does not appear

• If a rare format is not displayed directly, the viewer offers an "Open externally" or Download link.
• For very large files, loading may take a moment.
