Uploading documents correctly

With clean uploads, the AI recognizes content, deadlines, and risks more reliably.

A good result starts with the upload. This is how you prepare your documents optimally.

How to proceed

  1. Upload the complete document – all pages, in the correct order.
  2. Ensure readability: sharp, straight, well-lit, nothing cut off.
  3. For photos of multiple pages: They will be merged – photograph each page individually.
  4. Start the analysis.

What you should pay attention to

  • No cut-outs: Margins containing dates, case file numbers, or deadlines are often crucial.
  • Avoid backlighting and shadows so that the text remains recognizable.
  • Bundle related documents in the same case file so that the AI recognizes relationships (Organizing matters).
  • Do not combine multiple documents into one file: If a scan contains several independent letters one after another (e.g., a letter and an attachment in one PDF), upload the sections as individual files if possible – this allows the AI to assign data and deadlines to the correct document more reliably. If the system detects such a collective file anyway, it will notify you with a note on the opened document.

Why this is important

If a page is missing or a date is illegible, the AI may overlook deadlines or risks. A clean upload saves you from follow-up questions and makes the assessment more robust.

Your files are stored securely and are accessible only to you under My documents (What happens to my documents?). The simple click-steps for uploading are shown in How do I upload a document?.
