Prices & Costs — what does what cost?
How costs are calculated and why you will never pay without prior notice.
Smart Legal Pro is designed for cost transparency: you should always know what an action costs before you trigger it.
Prior Cost Notice
Before any action subject to a fee, a cost notice appears with the price (in credits). Nothing happens without your confirmation. You can always see the exact value on the respective cost notice – it is always up to date.
Why Do Prices Vary?
More complex actions (e.g., the analysis of many pages or a particularly deep examination) cost more than simple ones. Therefore, we deliberately do not state fixed numbers here – the live price on the cost notice and under Credits is always authoritative.
Analysis Levels (depending on document length)
During document analysis, you choose a level that matches the length – the system automatically recommends the appropriate one and shows the price in advance:
- Quick Check / Detail / Complete for short to very long documents.
- Super long for very large documents (100+ pages): These are read completely – section by section, without any content being cut off. As always, you can see the price for this in advance in the cost notice. For particularly extensive or important documents, we additionally recommend an examination by a lawyer.
Plans
Via a plan, you regularly receive credits and, if applicable, discounts. You can find a current overview on the pricing page.
Keeping an Overview
Your actual expenses are listed in the credit history – see Where can I see my expenses?. If an action fails technically, the credits are automatically refunded (refunded).
