The hearing, before it happens: Moot Court simulates the court and the opposing side

New in the Anwaltsportal: a stateful hearing simulator. The AI takes on the roles of the court and the opposing side, asks the toughest questions, walks you through the procedural stages and, ahead of the hearing, distils the most likely lines of attack into a list with response strategies — cleanly separated from Lex & Lexi and from ordinary hearing preparation.

In one sentence

The new Moot Court in the Anwaltsportal rehearses the oral hearing before it happens: the AI takes on the roles of the court and the opposing side and asks the toughest questions — so you walk into the hearing prepared, not caught off guard.

A simulator, not a script

Until now, the agents offered only straightforward hearing preparation: the sequence of events, what to bring, how to present yourself. The new Moot Court goes further. It is stateful — it keeps track of where the proceedings stand, responds to your motions and escalates like a real hearing, rather than running through a fixed list of questions. And it is parameterised by jurisdiction: the simulated questions follow the procedural law of the respective system.

Through the proceedings, step by step

The simulator guides you through the stages of the proceedings — from the conciliation hearing through the simulated claimant's submissions to the anticipated counter-arguments — and flags where a decision is required from you. That way you practise not just individual answers, but the whole sequence.

The toughest questions — with a response strategy

Ahead of the real hearing, the simulator distils the opposing side's most likely lines of attack into a prioritised list of the toughest questions — each with an outlined response strategy. This is preparation, not a script to memorise.

From the case file, not from thin air

The simulator starts from your case file or a document — it does not invent facts, it plays through your specific case. A contamination safeguard keeps the simulation cleanly separated from Lex & Lexi and from ordinary hearing preparation, so results do not bleed into one another.

Built to be safe

  • The simulator rehearses — you conduct the hearing.
  • Client-separated (RLS): no context from other clients' files.
  • EU hosting, jurisdiction-aware, available in all 7 portal languages from the outset.

Staying honest

Moot Court is a practice tool, not an oracle: it rehearses likely questions, it does not know the actual outcome. The strategy, the answers in the real hearing and the responsibility remain with you. More on this: AI transparency.
