Until now, our RVG/GKG/criminal-defence cost calculator was only available publicly — useful, but a break in your workflow when you're already working in a case file. Now all three calculators sit directly inside the Anwaltsportal, without you having to leave the matter.
Pre-filled instead of retyped
Open the calculator from within a case file and it automatically picks up the recorded amount in dispute. You confirm or correct it — instead of starting from zero.
Every formula checked against the official rules
Fee law is unforgivingly precise: a wrong hearing fee or the wrong amount-in-dispute multiplier directly changes a billed amount. Before we brought the calculator into the portal, we went through every single formula line by line again against the official fee schedule (RVG, GKG, VV) — including edge cases such as appellate hearing fees, amount-in-dispute caps, and the jurisdictional thresholds in force since 2026. Wherever we found a discrepancy, we corrected it and locked it in permanently with additional automated test cases.
The real advance: the AI no longer does the maths itself
Until now, you could ask our AI assistant for a rough estimate of costs — and a language model doing its own arithmetic is the wrong idea for fee questions: it can miscalculate without you noticing. Now the calculator is wired in as a standalone, deterministic tool: ask the assistant for the likely cost of proceedings, and internally it calls the very same audited calculator — no guessing, just a traceable calculation under the statute.
