Does my coaching need a license under the FernUSG?

Usually not — as long as you do not carry out a systematic assessment of learning success reserved to you as the coach (e.g. tests, examinations, certification with a pass/fail logic). Only tick the corresponding checkbox in the wizard if that actually applies — the contract then displays a clear warning and recommends legal review of the licensing requirement.

Do my clients have a right of withdrawal?

Only if the client acts as a consumer (B2C). In that case, contracts concluded at a distance carry a 14-day right of withdrawal (§ 355 BGB), which can expire early if the service starts immediately with express consent. For businesses (B2B), the right of withdrawal does not apply.

May I promise results in order to win clients?

The contract itself expressly excludes any guarantee of success — what is owed is diligent performance (a service contract, § 611 BGB), not a specific result. Advertising statements about typical outcomes are permissible, but must not be phrased as a contractually binding promise of success.
