Game Development Agreement
From work-for-hire to a publishing deal — rights, milestones and recoupment cleanly regulated before you sign.
The game development agreement covers the two central scenarios of the games industry: work-for-hire development, in which a studio develops on commission and transfers full rights, and the publishing agreement, in which the studio remains the rights holder and grants the publisher a time-limited license in exchange for an advance and a revenue share. The wizard legally explains each fork in the road — from milestone acceptance to the recoupment mechanics.

The transfer of rights, recoupment and international jurisdiction clauses carry significant liability risk; we recommend legal review before the contract is concluded, in particular for advance payments in the six-figure range.
Our templates are ready-made documents that you adapt to your case. They are not legal advice and do not replace a review by a lawyer; we give no guarantee of correctness, completeness or up-to-dateness. Use is at your own responsibility.
