Uploading is the first step for almost everything else – analysis, chat, action plan (Action-Brief), or lawyer handover.

How to proceed

  1. Open My documents.
  2. Select file or drag and drop a file into the upload field using drag-and-drop.
  3. Wait until the status changes from "uploading" to ready.
  4. Start the analysis from there – or drag the document into a case file.

Which formats are supported?

  • PDF and common image formats (e.g., photographed letters).
  • Multiple pages as a photo: Take a picture of each page individually – they will be merged for analysis.
  • Audio recordings and videos (such as voice messages) are not accepted by the storage; the analysis, contract review, and the free quick check also do not evaluate them. You will receive a notification in such cases. Please upload the document itself instead, for example as a PDF or photo.
  • Tips for clean scans: Uploading documents correctly.

Where is the file stored afterwards?

Securely and accessible only to you under My documents (encrypted, in the EU). What exactly happens to the file is explained in What happens to my documents?. You can read it directly in the app (Viewing documents (viewer)).

If something goes wrong

  • File is not recognized/is illegible: Take the photo again – sharp, straight, and complete.
  • Upload aborts: Check your connection and try again; wait a little for very large files.
  • Country unclear: During analysis, you may be asked to select the country – this is normal.
