Refunds & Reimbursements
When credits are automatically returned and how you can initiate a refund.
If something goes wrong, you should not be left with the costs.
Automatic refund
If an action fails technically (e.g., an analysis is aborted), the credits charged for it will be automatically refunded. Such refunds appear with a reason in your credit history.
The error message tells you what happened to your balance: that nothing was charged (the interruption occurred before the booking), that the credits were refunded (with the amount, if known) – or, if we do not know for sure at the moment, where you can check it. If the refund itself fails in exceptional cases, this is explicitly stated in the message; in that case, we will refund manually via Support.
Aborted chat responses
If you end a chat message prematurely or if something goes wrong during a response, it depends on how far it had progressed – both in the chat and in the AI preliminary consultation with a law firm:
- You stop before the AI provider has accepted your message: The credits are refunded.
- You stop after acceptance, but before text has appeared: We provide a refund as a gesture of goodwill. This goodwill is limited per account and per day so that it does not become a permanent channel.
- An error occurs on our side before text has appeared: The credits are refunded.
- Text has already appeared: The message is considered delivered – even if something breaks off afterwards. The partial response remains saved and the message is charged; you can continue with a follow-up question or start over with the same question.
Every refund is listed with a reason in your credit history.
Are you dissatisfied with a result?
- First, check whether you can repeat the action with better information (often more context helps, see More Context, Better Answer and Gathering the facts of the case & follow-up questions).
- If you believe a charge is unjustified, contact Support – briefly describe which action is affected. We will review the case.
Refund is not the same as withdrawal
A refund due to a failed action is different from the statutory right of withdrawal when making a purchase. Details on withdrawal: Right of Withdrawal & Withdrawal.
