My documents: safely stored

Under My documents, your documents are stored securely and encrypted in one place. This ensures you have contracts, notices, and letters ready at hand at all times.

What you can do here

• Store and retrieve documents (How do I upload a document?).
• View them directly in the app – without downloading (Viewing documents (viewer)).
• Use them for an analysis or the Chatting with a document – or speak about them via voice input instead of typing.
• Specifically share them for a law firm inquiry.
• Share them for review: Via "Share", you can create a link that allows a reviewer to read, comment on, and approve the document – optionally with a password and expiration date. We do not send an email during this process: you pass on the link yourself, by copying it or using "Send by email". You can revoke a link at any time.

Right-click and multiple selection

A right-click on a document opens a menu with the most important actions, including "Chat with this document" (Chatting with a document) and "Extract facts". Use the checkboxes to select multiple documents at once – the bar at the top then offers bulk actions such as moving, ZIP download, deleting, and "Extract facts" for all selected items at once. Keyboard: Del deletes the selection, F2 renames a single selected document, Ctrl/Cmd+A selects all visible documents.

Highlight and comment on text passages

Open a PDF in the viewer and highlight a text passage with your mouse; a small "Comment" button will appear – your note will be anchored exactly at that position, including the quote and page number. Details, including team collaboration: Highlighting and Commenting on Text Passages.

Duplicate documents: your credits are protected

When uploading, the content of the file is checked, not just the name: if you upload a document that is already in your inventory – even under a different filename – a dialog will suggest continuing to use the existing document. The advantage is saved credit: an already paid analysis is retained and is not charged again; if you select "Use existing document", the chargeable analysis step is omitted entirely. If you intentionally want to create a true copy, you can still do so at any time via "Create as separate document anyway".

Security

Your documents are accessible only to you (access protection per user account, row-level security). The files are encrypted during transmission (TLS) and in storage (AES-256), stored in the EU. Tip

You should also keep important originals yourself. Before deleting an account, download your documents (Delete account (GDPR)).
