In one sentence

Whether criminal defence, family law, medical law or inheritance law: the Anwaltsportal now works with an awareness of your practice area — with 24 selectable areas of law, area-specific checkpoints in all agents and new curated contract frameworks, from the will to the precautionary power of attorney.

A case file now knows which area of law it lives in

Until now, the AI treated every case file according to the same basic pattern. Now case files carry an area of law — and it takes effect everywhere: every one of the agents and the AI chat are given the professional checkpoints of that area to work with. A criminal case is thought through with limitation periods, admissibility of evidence and the strategy for the defendant's statement in mind; a medical-law case with informed consent and clinical documentation; an inheritance case with compulsory shares and questions of form. The checkpoints are curated, not generated — a neutral core that applies everywhere, plus deeper material per jurisdiction. The selection of practice areas itself has grown too: 24 instead of the previous 12 — inheritance, medical, competition, corporate, IT, social-security and construction law previously could not even be selected at registration.

Curated frameworks: will, tenancy agreement, precautionary power of attorney

The catalogue of curated frameworks grows from 6 to 13 — newly including three classics of advisory practice: the will, the residential tenancy agreement and the precautionary power of attorney with advance healthcare directive. Curated means: behind each framework stands fully drafted substantive law — formal requirements, mandatory provisions, typical pitfalls — which flows into both the outline and every individual clause during drafting. So the model does not write freely off the cuff; it works along a professional guardrail. As always, the result is reviewed and owned by you.

Pleadings now follow the type of proceedings

Not every pleading is a civil action. The portal knows nine types of proceedings — from civil through criminal to administrative — and structures drafts accordingly: a protective brief is built differently from a statement of defence, a statement of grounds for an objection differently from an appellate brief.

Your style remains your style

The form of address, tone and preferred length from your firm profile now also flow into pleading, contract and email drafts — not just into the chat. If you prefer concise, sober writing, you won't get sprawling prose; if you argue at length, you get substance rather than bullet points.

Honest stays honest

Practice-area profiles make the groundwork professionally denser — they do not turn the AI into a specialist lawyer. Every output remains an assessment for you to review. For an overview of all the Anwaltsportal's tools — from the fact graph to contradiction detection — see For lawyers.
