In one sentence
You no longer have to open a new chat for a case and upload everything again: with context sets you decide, for each answer, which documents, which version and which state of the file are included — and you can compare variants within the same assistant, cleanly separated.
The problem every firm knows
A case file is never "finished". First come the claim and its exhibits, months later a court order, then new client documents. Until now, the AI always saw all permanent documents in a chat. If you wanted a question answered once on the old state and once with the new document, your only option was: a new chat, upload everything again — and the risk that states got mixed up.
What a context set can do
Above the input line in the assistant sits the Context chip. One click opens the panel, where you determine, for the next answer:
- Which documents — all permanent documents in the chat, or just a targeted selection.
- Which cut-off date — only documents up to a given date, to reconstruct an earlier state.
- Which case knowledge — the case document list and the fact graph can be switched off for a pure document view.
You give the whole thing a name — say "April state" or "with new order" — and switch between your variants with a click.
Variants without mixing
That is the heart of it: two saved sets mean two states of knowledge in the same chat. You ask the same question twice and compare the answers. An excluded document really does stay out — the AI cannot reload it through the back door either. And if you upload something new to a tightly scoped set, it is added automatically: "just these old documents plus whatever I'm uploading right now".
Always traceable
Every answer carries a small marker showing which context set it was created under. In a variant comparison you therefore always know which basis applied — important for your own oversight and for the record.
The start of a longer line
Context sets are the first step in a larger build-out around case files that develop over years: next come time travel through the state of the file, an automatic change digest when new documents arrive, and the replaying of earlier conclusions when you open old chats.
Staying honest
