Data Protection & Where Your Data is Stored
GDPR compliance, EU processing, and your control over what you share.
Smart Legal Pro is designed to be GDPR-compliant (DSGVO-konform) and is tailored to the European region.
Principles
- Storage and database in the EU; AI calls are only made with data protection-compliant providers (details on the Security Page).
- You decide which documents you share – e.g., during a law firm inquiry.
- Your documents under My documents are accessible only to you.
- During AI processing, personal data is masked before most calls to the language models (with documented exceptions), and your content is not used to train the models (What is the AI – and what is it not?).
- What happens to your information in the contact form and in support requests (AI initial response, translation, spam check, retention period) is described in the Privacy Policy in Section 5g; how a ticket is processed is shown in Creating a support ticket.
Your Rights
You have the right to information, rectification, and erasure. You can export your data (see Managing Account & Data) and delete your account (Delete account (GDPR)).
Legal Documents
The details can be found in the Privacy Policy, on the Security Page, and – for commercial use – in the Data Processing Agreement (DPA/AVV). The service providers used are listed on the Subprocessors Page.
