Detected facts (persons, dates, amounts, deadlines)
Structured key data from your documents in one place – searchable, filtered, and with source.
From your analyzed documents, the AI can extract the most important key data – persons, organizations, addresses, dates, deadlines, amounts, and case file numbers – and collect them in a structured manner. In the sidebar, this area is called "Detected data", and the page itself is called "My facts" (Facts).
What is this for?
- You can see the hard facts of a matter at a glance without having to search through long texts.
- Each fact refers to the source document (and often the specific text passage) from which it originates.
- This facilitates preparation – including for a later law firm inquiry.
Generating facts
- Assign the document to a case file and have it analyzed – both are prerequisites.
- Open the document in My documents and select "Extract facts". The AI stores the found key data in the case file. If the text of the document is still missing, read it in first using "Read now" – this is free of charge.
- You can add detected deadlines directly from the fact to your deadlines using "Add as deadline".
Everything at a glance: the fact list
Under Detected data, the facts from all case files are consolidated. There, you can:
- search by label or value,
- filter by category (e.g., only deadlines or only amounts),
- show entries that have not yet been verified using "Only unverified",
- compare entries that the AI considers duplicates using "Resolve possible duplicates" and decide (merge, keep as separate, or discard),
- edit, pin, or discard entries (with a confirmation prompt and "Undo"),
- and jump to the source document with a click.
Each entry is marked as verified or unverified. Treat unverified values as a hint, not as confirmed – check critical information against the original (How reliable is the AI?).
Amounts only if they are quantified: If a document mentions a sum without a number – for example, "the arrears exceed one month's rent" – no amount of 0 is saved. The information remains as a statement without an amount; if it consisted only of the amount, it is omitted.
Within a matter, you will find the same information under "Analysis": There, you can confirm, edit, or discard individual entries and add missing ones – for example, a participant that the timeline of the overall review marks as "not detected".
Costs
Extraction is AI-based and may cost credits; you can see the value in advance in the cost notice and on the button (Credits: The credit system, Where do I see what something costs before I start?). If you evaluate several documents at once, a prompt will state the total beforehand. If a part of a document could not be read, the unread portion will be refunded proportionally; if the AI finds too few facts, it will be fully refunded (Refunds & Reimbursements).
You can also find detected deadlines bundled under Keeping track of deadlines. How the individual facts relate to each other – and how you handle a contradiction between two documents – is shown in Connections between your information.
