Right of Withdrawal & Withdrawal

Your consumer right of withdrawal, the withdrawal button, and what applies to digital services.

Updated 9 October 2026

As a consumer, you generally have a 14-day right of withdrawal when making online purchases.

Declaring a Withdrawal

You can easily declare your withdrawal using the withdrawal button – without logging in, in just two steps:

  1. Provide details: Name and email address (for confirmation); contract/order and a reason are optional.
  2. Confirm: You will see the exact wording of your declaration of withdrawal and confirm it.

Afterwards, you will receive an acknowledgment of receipt by email containing the date of receipt. This confirmation proves the receipt of your declaration (not its validity). Alternatively, an informal email to the address specified in the legal notice (Impressum) is sufficient.

Special Rule for Digital Services

For digital content/services, the right of withdrawal can expire prematurely if the performance of the service begins immediately with your express consent and you confirm that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (§ 356 Abs. 6 BGB (German Civil Code)). What you are agreeing to is made transparent at the time of purchase.

Subscriptions

For ongoing subscriptions, the right of withdrawal remains in force for the order – the withdrawal button is available to you for this purpose.

Distinction from a Refund

A refund due to a failed action is independent of this – see Refunds & Reimbursements. You can find the legal details in the Cancellation Policy.
