Images: 7Write Documents: Guided Draft, Existing Document or Blank
The start screen of the editor asks how you would like to begin: with a guided draft, with an existing document or with a blank page. Below are the recently edited documents with the associated case, on the right the tool panel for AI actions on selected text. You choose a starting point, and the editor opens accordingly; if you type “/ki”, the AI writes directly at the cursor. This way you do not start a pleading or contract from zero but build on a template, a Word file or earlier work. What the AI suggests remains a draft that you review.

Complaint in the Editor: Text Editing with AI Tools
The editor shows a draft complaint like a Word document: menu bar, formatting bar and ruler at the top, word count and zoom at the bottom. After you select a passage, the tool panel on the right offers actions such as Revise, Shorten, More formal, More precise, Check risks or Add citations, plus a field for your own instruction. Changes are tracked in the text, insertions in green and deletions struck through in red. The note “PII masking switched on” shows that masking of personal data is active for the AI.

Templates: firm playbook, agents and document templates in one place
Under the line “Everything that sets your work or takes it off your hands”, the Templates page combines three tabs: firm playbook, agents and document templates; the Document templates tab is shown. It states that you choose and manage firm templates under “From template” when creating a document. Two buttons lead directly to “Write documents” or to the selection of firm templates, and a collapsible “Guides” section explains the process. This way you do not have to search for where templates and firm guidelines are kept.
Draft a Pleading: Choose Type, Reference Document and Scope Before Starting
Before the pleading agent starts, the dialog asks for the type of pleading and then which document of the case it refers to; opposing pleadings come first in the selection. Under “Form of the draft” you set the scope and can expand tone, addressee and outline wishes. The agent proposes an outline, drafts the sections and files the result as a versioned, editable Word document in the case. It asks before entering a deadline, and the draft remains a suggestion that you review and revise.

Pleading Agent: Model Choice, Second Opinion Only on Request, Cost Preview
In the lower part of the dialog you choose the model: the standard model is preselected, and its weighting in the AI quota is shown. Optionally you obtain a second opinion from the strongest model; it is triggered only if you tick the box and the outline detects a truly disputed legal point. Below, “Your quota” shows how a run is counted, and the AI cost preview states the estimated usage and the remaining quota. The run begins only with “Start”; a started run counts even if you stop it.

Images: 7Changes and Comments: Accept or Reject Individually
In the “Review” tab, the list of all tracked changes is on the right, each with type (insertion or deletion), author and affected text; a second tab collects the comments. You accept or reject each change with one click, or decide for all at once with “Accept all” or “Reject all”. In the document on the left, the same passages are underlined in green or struck through in red. This way you go through a colleague’s revision piece by piece and keep the decision on every passage.

The screenshots show the English interface; sample data and documents are partly in German. Smart Legal Pro itself is fully available in German, English, French, Italian, Spanish, Dutch and Polish.
